The Caterpillar 299D3 XE Land Management model is a compact track loader specifically designed for vegetation management. Equipped with a 110 HP engine and a high-performance hydraulic system, it is well suited for mastication operations and other demanding forestry applications.
Built for durability, the 299D3 XE features extra guarding to withstand rugged work conditions. Its compact size and exceptional maneuverability allow it to operate effectively in tight spaces and challenging environments, making it an essential machine for vegetation control, land clearing, and right-of-way maintenance.
The Caterpillar 309 CR is a compact excavator designed to meet the diverse needs of forestry operations. Weighing 22,000 pounds, it combines a maneuverable design with robust power, making it ideal for logging support, residential fuels reduction, and land management tasks.
A key feature of the 309 CR is its auxiliary hydraulic pump, which allows attachments to operate at full hydraulic flow without sacrificing power to other functions such as travel or boom swing. This ensures seamless operation when using masticators and grapples, making the 309 CR a highly efficient and versatile machine for demanding forestry applications.
Our second Caterpillar 309 CR is set up to replicate the capabilities of our first but is also optimized for operating our Rotobec grapple with a Hultdins 350E SuperSaw. This configuration enhances efficiency in material handling and tree removal operations.
For added versatility, this excavator can also be quickly reconfigured to run the HM210 masticator head as needed, allowing for seamless transitions between vegetation management and logging support tasks.
The Bandit 20XP Track Chipper is a powerful and mobile wood-chipping machine designed for processing whole trees, limbs, branches, and brush. Its track-mounted design provides exceptional maneuverability, making it well-suited for land clearing and forestry applications.
Powered by a 350 HP Cummins engine, the 20XP efficiently processes whole trees up to 22 inches in diameter. Its robust cutting system ensures high production rates, making it an essential tool for large-scale chipping operations.
The track undercarriage provides excellent traction and stability, allowing the chipper to navigate uneven terrain and operate in remote or difficult-to-access areas. This combination of power, mobility, and efficiency makes the 20XP a highly effective solution for forestry and vegetation management projects.
The CMC 90HD tracked aerial lift is a game-changer for our operations. It has a maximum working height of 90 feet and up to 50 feet of lateral reach. The 90HD serves as a force multiplier, significantly enhancing productivity and safety. Its design allows us to access areas inaccessible to traditional bucket trucks. By utilizing the CMC 90HD, our teams can efficiently tackle tree maintenance tasks without risking climbers' safety, ensuring both efficiency and safety in our operations.
The Caterpillar HM210 masticator attachment, utilized on our excavators, features a working width of 39.8 inches and a maximum cutting diameter ranging from five to eight inches. It is designed to efficiently mulch vegetation, offering a reliable and productive solution for vegetation management and land-clearing applications.
The Rotobec Mini-PC rotating grapples facilitate effective material handling, whether it's feeding material into our Bandit 20XP track chipper or stacking and piling logs and brush.
Our second Rotobec Mini PC is equipped with a Hultdins 350E Super Saw, which has a cutting diameter of approximately 22-24 inches. It allows for effective roadway clearing, tree and limb removal, and bucking logs into manageable sizes.
The CBI XLP log screw is an innovative solution that allows us to split logs up to 7' in diameter and up to 20' in length, enabling us to process and feed oversized logs into our chipper that would otherwise not fit. This significantly enhances our wood processing capabilities.
Used on our 299D3, the Caterpillar HM415C masticator attachment is a robust land-clearing tool with a working width of 62 inches and a maximum cutting diameter of eight inches. It efficiently mulches vegetation, making it a productive and effective solution for vegetation management and land-clearing applications.
The Rototilt RC3 allows for 360-degree continuous rotation and side-to-side tilting. This tool significantly improves maneuverability in tight spaces and challenging terrains, reducing the need for repositioning the excavator. It is primarily used with a 48" grading bucket for clearing vegetation from ditches and forming waterbars on commercial timberlands.
The Halverson Wood Products HWP150 wood processor is an efficient attachment that processes firewood, with a six-way splitting wedge and the ability to handle logs up to 22 inches in diameter.
The Caterpillar SG36 stump grinder attachment is a high-performance tool designed for efficient removal of tree stumps. It features a cutting wheel with a diameter of 21.5 inches, allowing it to grind stumps with a maximum cutting depth of 20.5 inches below ground.
Our Ford F650 is paired with an Interstate 40K 24-foot tilt deck trailer, allowing us to transport our equipment. This setup is ideal for hauling machinery to job sites and removing material like logs or rock.
Our Ford F750 Altec chipper truck, with a 17.8-yard chip capacity, is typically paired with our Morbark 1215 chipper, which can process material up to 12 inches in diameter. This smaller chipper is ideal for projects where the Bandit 20XP track chipper would be excessive, offering an efficient and cost-effective chipping solution.
The larger capacity of the chip truck also makes it well-suited for high-production chipping when paired with the Bandit 20XP track chipper, which generates large volumes of chips in a short time. With a 17.8-yard capacity compared to the 5-yard limit of the dump truck, the chip truck significantly reduces the number of trips needed to haul chips offsite, improving overall efficiency in debris management and transportation.
